The Mirror Lake of Venus,Italy
The Mirror Lake of Venus is located in the northern part of the island of Pantelleria in Bugeber Sicily. It is a spectacular basin with clear and crystalline waters born from the crater of an ancient volcano. This natural lake is fed by rainwater and underground springs which can reach temperatures around 104°F - 122°F. Its banks are filled with mud rich in sulfur and mineral elements with beneficial properties perfect for skincare, cleansing and removing impurities from skin. The Mirror Lake of Venus is essentially an open-air spa - and best of all, it is totally free!
The Mirror Lake of Venus is immersed in the National Park’s lush vegetation, reaching a maximum depth of 12 meters. Its waters are known for its thousand turquoise shades and they are surrounded by a splendid shore of white sand. This is a true oasis of well-being where visitors can sunbathe and enjoy the waters with therapeutic qualities. Legend has it that Venus, the goddess of love and beauty, before each meeting with Bacchus would come to look at herself on the shores of this lake - this is of course how the location got its name. The Lake of Venus is certainly one of the most famous and fascinating places in Pantelleria.
