Annecy, the pearl of Haute-Savoie

Annecy is a town of about 50,000 inhabitants located in the heart of Haute-Savoie, nestled on the shores of one of the cleanest lakes in Europe and framed by the majestic French Alps. The Lac d’Annecy, considered one of the cleanest lakes in Europe, is the perfect place for swimming, kayaking, or simply relaxing along its lush green shores. The more adventurous can try paragliding from the Col de la Forclaz, experiencing a breathtaking flight with unparalleled views. Those who prefer to explore the area on foot or by bike will find a network of trails and cycling paths winding through forests and Alpine meadows, offering incredible scenery in every season. Annecy also serves as an excellent base for winter sports enthusiasts, thanks to its proximity to some of Savoie’s best ski resorts. In less than an hour, you can reach destinations like La Clusaz or Le Grand-Bornand, perfect for skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing through stunning snow-covered forests.
