Henningsvaer Stadion,Norvegia
Henningsvaer Stadion is a football field located in the village of Lofoten Islands off the coast of
northern Norway. It is considered one of the most beautiful stadiums in the world, just
overlooking the beautiful Norwegian Sea not far from the Arctic Circle.
Henningsvaer is a small tourist resort home to 500 fishermen and less than 25,000 inhabitants
total. It is immersed in the breathtaking panorama of an archipelago of about 400 square miles.
Surrounded by sea, the area connects to the main island via a bridge built in 1983.
The stadium field was created by leveling the solid rocky layer, with a synthetic mantle and side
grids made up of large racks to prevent the ball from ending up in the water. These same racks are
also used to dry cod! An ultra-modern lighting system guarantees the perfect amount of light
even during the day, which is essential in these areas.
The Henningsvaer Stadium has no stands and can only host amateur teams, but it is certainly one
of the most seductive and spectacular football stadiums ever!
