Playa de Las Catedrales is a famous beach located in Ribadeo, in the northwestern community of Galicia, Spain. Its real name is Praia de Augas Santas, but it is commonly called "the beach of the cathedrals" because of the presence of majestic natural arches which attract tourists from all around the world.

A combination of natural elements such as sea and wind have over time created these natural rock formations which are 30 meters high, which actually look like Gothic cathedrals. Their uniqueness make them one of the most beautiful beach attractions in the world.

The best time to stroll along the beach to get a view of these rock formations is at low tide, when the reef is visible in all its grandeur, opening an almost magical scenery made of small cracks and tunnels that slowly turn into caves which become extraordinary caverns, all visible in the right light.

The Playa de Las Catedrales offers a breathtaking landscape. This stunning attraction is carved exclusively by nature where even plant life is unattended. Besides the seagulls and some specimens of herons, with the arrival of Spring it is also possible to see the passage of many migratory birds.
