For a fascinating contrast, at the foot of the Guggenheim Museum, the enormous Puppy, the flower-covered dog sculpture, wears a giant Christmas sweater, adding a touch of humor and warmth to a context of pure avant-garde. Finally, a must-see tradition is eating grapes at the stroke of midnight on December 31 beneath the Arcos de la Ribera along the riverbank, with the Arriaga Theater and the Guggenheim illuminated in celebration.
