Haus steht Kopf, the upside-down house in Terfens

The Haus steht Kopf, built in 2012 by Polish architects Irek Glowacki and Marek Rozanski, is located in the small Austrian town of Terfens, about 20 minutes by car from Innsbruck. Its charm is that it is built upside down giving visitors the strange feeling of being upside down.

The house is structured on two floors with an incredibly detailed interior. Each object, although positioned in the right room, has been turned upside down and decorated with truly surprising details capable of enchanting every visitor. Of course, you enter the attic and continue through each room as in any traditional home, from the bathroom to the kitchen, to the children’s room, to the garage where a Volkswagen beetle is parked.

The upside-down house in Terfens is a tourist attraction loved by adults and children, a place that attracts thousands of tourists every year, ready to snap a few shots to get the fun effect of walking on a ceiling simulating the absence of gravity. The Haus steht Kopf is open to the public all year round, for further information and details on times and prices contact http://tirolland.com/hausstehtkopf/
